Home gym machines

Compare multi-gyms, functional trainers and Smith systems, including working space and equipment requirements.

Choose the type of machine before the model

A multi-gym groups exercise stations around one machine. A functional trainer uses adjustable cable positions; a Smith machine guides a bar along a fixed path. Combined systems can include several of these functions. Start with the exercises you intend to do, then check which stations and attachments the exact configuration includes.

Compare the setup you will actually use

A machine's base dimensions leave out the person training, an adjustable bench, plate loading and access to the weight stack. Draw the working area first. Then compare the full purchase: machine, bench, handles, weights where needed, delivery and assembly. Our guides explain those decisions without pretending an untested model is a category winner.

Planning in United States

Plan the garage or basement around delivery access, overhead doors and local permit requirements. Ask the seller for the exact US manual, installed dimensions and delivered price; model names do not prove attachment compatibility.
